Experience: Over 30 years of hands-on racing background, and his custom engines for competition, has competed in NHRA, SCCA, NASCAR, Off Road, and International competition.

Bruce Tucker

Position: General Manager

 

Experience: Into fast cars since jr. high. Joined JBA in 2002. Member of the San Diego Roadster Club, Bonneville 200 MPH Club, SCTA, BNI, SCCA, NASA and SAAC. Former disc jockey at KGB-FM and graduate of SDSU and USD School of Law. Responsible for management of JBA Racing and custom tuning EFI vehicles (OBD1& OBD2).

 

Currently Owns: 1963 Corvette Coupe (Historic road race car), 1975 Old Starfire (Land speed car), 1995 Mustang Cobra (Street and open track car)

 

Wants To Own: Original 427 Cobra and Ford GT

 

Automotive Accomplishments: In high school, built a '59 Austin Healy 106 with a 327 SBC, Muncie, 4.88 posi, roll bar, etc. Currently run in NASA's HPDE Group 4 with my street car. Have set numerous records at Bonneville Salt Flats, El Mirage and Muroc Dry Lakes.

John Gerardy

Experience: I caught the "car virus" early on in life and have not yet been cured. I don't think there is a cure! I'm still collecting interesting cars. Though my early interests were limited to American muscle cars, I have come to appreciate lots of cars from "across the pond".

Austin Bittle

Position: Parts Manager & HP Specialist

 

Experience: Raised at the race track and JBA shop since 1987. Restored a 1969 Mustang Mach 1 from a junkyard. Drag Racing since 2003, began competing in time/speed/distance rally's and AutoX in 2005. Run open track events1-2 times a year.

 

Currently Owns: 1969 Mustang Mach 1 SCJ, 2003 Mustang Cobra and 1966 Ford Fairlane XL500

 

Wants To Own: Ford GT or Daytona Coupe kit car

 

Automotive Accomplishments: Multiple "Best Reaction Time" trophies at race legal drags. Three 1st palce car show awards, Placed in several AutoX competitions with TAMSCC ST Class.

John Elderhorst

Position: Senior Mechanic and Senior Engine Assembler

 

Experience: 40+ year background in high performance automobile engine building and tuning. First working with J Bittle beginning in 1973, his career has included formal training by GM, Ford, Toyota, and Chrysler. Additional experience includes A.M.C. Dealer, Phillips 66 Service Station, Buick-Olds Dealer, Lincoln-Mercury Dealer, church clocks & bells with his Dad.

 

Currently Owns: 1972 Trans Am

 

Wants To Own: 1965 GTO, 1955 Nomad, 2004 Ford GT

 

Automotive Accomplishments: ASE certifications as a Master Machinist and Engine Technician, painted his own car, P.A. Inspection License, 3 years of technical school

MIke Evans

Position: Service Coordinator

 
Experience: Started in 1980 working with Jim's Musta ng's restoring cars that he sent to me. Had my own '65 Mustang Fastback that I restored twice and helped many club members with their cars. Currently putting the finishing touches on a '55 F-350 truck here at J BA. Now getting into racing and building a '69 Boss 302 TA

here at JBA. Also racing a 2012 Mustang Boss 302 on track and open road courses.
 

Currently Owns: 1955 F-350 Flat Bed Truck, 1969 Mustang Mach 1 (Boss 302) , 2012 Mustang Boss 302.

 

Wants To Own: Already have them.

 

Automotive Accomplishments: Miller Motorsport Certificates -1965 Mustang Fastback 1st place many times, 2005 Mustang GT - 1st, 2nd & 3rd, 2012 Boss 320 2nd plae at Silverstate Classic Challenge Road Race 120mph class.

Tim Naylor

Position: Senior Technician/Shop Foreman

 

Experience: 30 years of experience. Owned shop in Connecticut for 12 years. Attended GM Training Center in Tarrytown, New York. Specializes in carburator tuning and rebuilding, electrical systems and custom wiring, high performance building, installing and tuning, engine, suspension, brakes, exhaust and gear swaps.

 

Currently Owns: 2002 Chevy Camaro Z28

Chris White

Position: Performance Technician

 
Experience: 20 years at Ford Dealers. Mostly gas engine repair, drivability, and smog tests/repairs. Worked on a couple of race teams at El Cajon and Barona Speedway. Raced at El Cajon and Barona.

 

Currently Owns: 1991 Mustang convertible, 1969 Berry Mini-T kit car.

 

Wants To Own: 2003 Cobra

 

Automotive Accomplishments: Ford Sr. Master Technician, ASE Master with L1, Smog License, 2nd place Ford Master Tech Challenge Competition Regionals in 2006.
