Why buy a supercharger?

Supercharging is one of the easiest and most cost effective means of adding an average of 46% more horsepower and 31% torque to your vehicle. There are many ways to increase performance. Add up the cost and time involved with other upgrades and you will find that it is tough to beat a good supercharging system. At JBA Racing we've installed hundreds of supercharger systems and have found that when combined with the right selection of additional bolt-ons you can achieve excellent performance and reliability. Listed below are the supercharger manufacturers that we prefer to install on our customers vehicles as well as our own. Each offers a variety of 50 state smog legal systems for GM, Ford and Dodge vehicles.

The Paxton name has been synonymous with automotive performance for nearly five decades. Paxton Automotive continues to build on that legacy by offering high quality centrifugal supercharger systems for a variety of late-model GM, Ford and Dodge applications. At JBA Racing we run Paxton Novi 2000 superchargers on our '91 Mustang Drag Cat and owner J. Bittle's '87 Dominator Mustang. Paxton supercharger systems come complete with everything needed for a complete installation. Some kits, however, require additional components (ignition, fuel system) for optimal results. Most applications are 50 state smog legal.

Established in 1990, Vortech Engineering, Inc. offers a variety of complete automotive supercharging systems, fuel system components and air-to-water aftercoolers for domestic vehicles. Vortech has earned a solid reputation for its engineering excellence. Their centrifugal superchargers mount like an accessory would to your motor and are rpm driven by the crank. A typical Vortech kit will include everything needed for a complete installation. Some kits, however, require addition components (ignition, fuel system, etc.) for optimal results. Most Vortech street supercharging systems include a standard 3-year limited warranty. At JBA Racing the Vortech superchargers have an excellent track record for power, quality and durability. Applications available for most late-model GM, Ford and dodge cars, trucks and SUV's.

With ProCharger technology, reliably adding big horsepower to your engine is a lot easier than you may think. Intercooled ProCharger systems utilize exclusive features and proven technology to deliver reliable 50-100% gains in horsepower and torque while running pump gas. Kenne Bell has a history of engineering many hi-tech products for the infamous Turbocharged V6 Buick Grand National and the GMC Syclone truck. Kenne Bell successes with the D'Alessandro/Kenne Bell "Worlds Fastest and Quickest Single Turbo 231" Street GN" are well known.
